Summer Kitchen Favorites

We all know that time in the kitchen over the summer needs to be efficient! We want to enjoy the beautiful weather and limit our time over the stove. So, we’ve gathered a few of our favorite items that make summer cooking oh so easy! And, the best part? All are under $30! Treat yourself!

Cast Iron Pan: Cast Iron Pans are one of the hardest working items in the kitchen. They can be used on the stove, in the oven, on the grill and so much more! (We’ve even been known to pop ours right in the pizza oven!) The pans are inexpensive and so useful. The biggest tip here is to not overclean them at the end of the night. Some warm water, a tiny bit of gentle dish soap and a soft sponge or paper towel will do the trick. Over time, the seasonings build and this will become your favorite.

Citrus Juicer: It’s such a simple item yet one that I use so often! The perfect citrus juicer so that none of that delicious liquid goes to waste. The colors tell you which section is to juice a lemon and which section is to juice a lime. This makes adding citrus juice to your next dish even easier.

Kitchen Towels: We love a perfect kitchen towel! They keep our hands clean and our kitchens beautiful. They are the easiest way to bring some color and seasonality to your kitchen. Even better? They make the perfect hostess gift. I love to wrap them in a pretty ribbon and include a handwritten recipe. A guaranteed hit of a gift!

Popsicle Molds: Yes, you probably had these as a kid. And, they are still the perfect way to make an easy summertime treat. Perfect for fruit popsicles, ice cream pops or even adults-only frose popsicles. Yes, you heard me right. Blend some fresh fruit and add your favorite champagne or prosecco for an adult treat!

Melamine Plates: While not technically for the kitchen, these plates do make summertime entertaining nearly effortless! Lightweight yet durable, stylish yet easy to clean. These are a great value and perfect for BBQ’s, family gatherings or just a weekend meal. Added plus? If a little hand accidentally drops one, they won’t break.
