Marinated Chicken Sandwich

It doesn’t get faster or easier than this! A perfect dinner for a night on the grill. Serve up with a side of corn on the cob, baked beans or your favorite salad.

Serves 4

Ingredients:⁣

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts⁣

1 1/2 jars favorite salsa⁣

4 slices cheese (pepper jack or cheddar)⁣

2 avocados, sliced⁣

4 hamburger buns (Hawaiian or whole wheat)⁣

Directions:⁣

Place chicken breasts and salsa in large ziplock bag. Marinate in refrigerator for 2-4 hours.

Heat grill to medium / medium low. ⁣

Remove chicken breasts from marinade and grill 4-6 minutes on each side. To keep chicken moist, it’s best to cook on lower heat for longer time. In the last minute, add cheese to allow it time to melt.⁣ Ensure internal temperature reads 165 degrees for doneness.

Serve chicken on bun with avocado. Can also add cooked bacon if desired. Fantastic when served with grilled corn on the cob or grilled romaine.
